Following a thorough tender and audit process, CCE has been appointed as the channel partner to a large IT reseller providing IT services to two UK based supermarket chains. By providing additional key services and support via CCE’s nationwide team of engineers and support desk staff, CCE have enabled the partner to dramatically expand their service offering beyond hardware supply to longer term, higher value contracts.
Retail IT Solutions
CCE now provide a wide range of IT support, hardware and retail IT solutions on the partners’ behalf to 31 locations across the UK and are responsible for the deployment and maintenance of the key retail systems. This includes:
- Installation of EPOS retail systems
- Till upgrades
- Point of sale devices and systems
- Access Points
- ‘Lane’ set ups, till, EPOS, scanner & printer
On site engineers managed the lane set ups, till deployments and associated cabling and server integration with the head offices. This nationwide set up and deployment was done by CCE’s team of 85 engineers, project management and business team. By CCE fully managing the complex logistics and deployment, the partner could focus on going management of the client leaving the resource-heavy planning and deployment to CCE.
CCE also provide a 24/7 support line for any software / hardware issues from their UK based service desk. This again enhances the partners offering and reduces their internal resources. The service desk delivers:

- No worries about sickness or holidays with internal staff
- Flexible scaling according to demand
- Call centre open 24/7/365
CCE also decommissioned multiple stores in readiness for the new occupier and fully managed all the logistics, disposal of hardware in accordance with ISO & EU regulation. Disposal and recycling of the hardware underwent data destruction processes and recycling done through the proper channels.
